Easy Does It

Knit - Talulah | Pants - Topshop | Shoes - Chinese Laundry | Clutch - Clare Vivier

Thank you all for being so patient with me! I swear life can't get any hectic, but it seems to do so everyday. Even now I'm losing out on essential sleep just so I can keep my blog alive! But I love it so it's worth it ;). This is a speedy post - a basic 'me at home' look. I thought it was about time I posted up an outfit wearing my favourite flats of all time. Anyone who follows me on Instagram (@eesh_89) would know this (after what seems to be daily shots of them), these Chinese Laundry shoes are just.....I have actually contemplated buying another pair in both colours (yes, I got black too), and also some in the other colours on offer. I love them. They are so elegant and unique. Of course they look a lot like Jenny Kayne's, but these are a great alternative - better on the wallet and they are quite comfortable. Also, I hope you all like my new glasses! I wear contacts so often that even my close friend have forgotten I wear glasses. I love these ones from Specsavers, from their new range by Collette Dinigan, and I think i'll be wearing glasses more often!

RSPCA Cupcake Day 2013

Hi there guys!! I thought I'd take some time out of my busy schedule to let you all know about the upcoming Cupcake Day the RSPCA is holding on the 19th of August this year...

Even though I don't own any pets myself, I absolutely adore dogs and cats and a whole host of animals! I also know a few people who have adopted from the RSPCA, giving some gorgeous animals a brand new home. I have fundraised for the RSPCA before as I admire their work as I'm a big advocate of animal rights, especially those of domestic animals. Too often we see pets being ill-treated or abandoned, and it's through the efforts of organisations such as the RSPCA do we see kindness towards these beautiful beings that we really do have a responsibility for as we choose to keep them as companions. Not only do they look after our pets but they also provide for farm animals in their care and help take care of animals suffering from the affects of ill-treatment.  I personally think this is a great fundraiser as I get to bake and everybody loves cupcakes! I'll be making some cupcakes for Monday (lucky for my work colleagues ;D)

You can donate towards this great cause or get involved yourself by clicking on the picture or HERE =D

(P.S. I PROMISE I will get back to blogging more often soon!!)

Fan Brush

Absence makes the heart grow fonder right? So you guys must love me then eh ;). Blogging has been put on the back burner the past week due to the usual speil. PLUS I'm doing some intense travel planning (exciting times!!). Moving on, at least my nails have not suffered my neglect. This effect is created with a fan brush, which comes in all different sizes and fan span, but generally look like this..

I would suggest getting an el cheapo version if your going to be dipping it in nail polish and washing it vigorously in acetone. It's quite easy to do this design, literally you just paint your base colour + top coat. Then dunk the tip of the brush in the polish colour you want to layer first, and the brush it lightly over your nail several times till you get the look and intensity you want. Repeat with another colour(s). Easy! Just FYI, my base is Ulta3 Neutral, and I used L.A. Girls Disco Fever then Essie Chinchilly using the fan brush.

I wore this neutral last week and after a couple of days I thought striping it up would be an easy effective way to spice them up =). Still love them neutral though!!
