Designer parody clothing has become quite the street-wear trend in the past year or so, fame only spread ironically by those who covet the styles put forward by these fashion powerhouses who's names have been artfully re-created. It's one of those you-either-love-it-or-hate-it trends which I for one am all for (only since I can barely afford the real thing). Unofficial poster boy for Comme des Fuckdown, A$AP Rocky, alone pretty much makes me want all my clothing monogrammed with the wordplay on Comme des Garcon. The best one I came across was this though...
Hahah and they have plenty more parodies printed on these canine sized tops.
What do the designers think? Well, I'd expect them to take it lightheartedly, since I would imagine this is only bringing more attention to their brands (if that's possible), an odd albeit effective marketing tool I would say. And it's free. Except in the case of Cartier inspired 'Cuntier' - defs pushing it a bit =P (although kudos to small-time manufacturer Fahad in the creativity department). Personally, I've got my name down for a 'Homies' sweater and I'm still tossing up between a Celine (Dion) shirt and a 'Coco Made Me Do It' beanie =P.
