Home Thai, Sydney

Thai food is a part of Australian culture I reckon. There are 2 things that we love about Thailand - the fantastic food, and the fact that it's a sweet-as place to have a low-budget holiday and have the time of your life =P (so cheap!). There is an abundance of Thai restaurants in Sydney. Not all of them are good, but I have to say there are quite a few that are not bad. And there are also quite a few that are really good. Home Thai is definitely one of them. The crowd outside is defs a testament to that!

Surprisingly the wait isn't that (10 minutes?) long despite the crowds, so it was quite easy for me and my best friend to get in. It seems that the trend with restaurants these days is less decorating and renovating and more incorporation of the actual foundations of the buildings. The inside of Home reminds me of Jamie's Italian and Ms G's (post to come!), where the brick walls are left untouched and the furniture is simple and nothing is too "fussy". Just a few paintings, plants and other nick knacks decorate the place which of course gives it a less formal and relaxed atmosphere. Great place to grab dinner after work :).
The menu has all the typical Thai dishes, and they taste bloody good! Takes me right back to Thailand :) ....

Musmun - Massaman Beef Curry

Pu Nim Yum Mamuang - Soft Shell Crab Salad
Dessert defs reminds me sooo much of my visit to Thailand - the little fried dough (served with condensed milk in Thailand) was breakfast for me so many times over there. And I LOVE mango with sticky rice, so again something I had many times in Thailand =D.

Mango with Sticky Rice (Allll different colours!)

Par Tuhng Go - Deep Fried Dough Sticks with Pandan Custard

A great place to go for an informal quick dinner, and good value as well =).
